The magic begins at the Kálnoky Castle Concerts Summer Season! On 23 May, at 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM, we launch the Summer Season concert series with a special rendition of the legendary Harry Potter film score. The beloved melodies will be brought to life by the sensitive and captivating performances of Diana Ichim (piano) and Apor Tóth-Györbiró (cello). Join us and immerse yourself in the music of the wizarding world in the unique atmosphere of Kálnoky Castle!
About the film music: The music of the Harry Potter films—especially the iconic themes by John Williams, such as Hedwig’s Theme—is among the most recognizable and influential works in the history of modern film scores. The magical motifs, darker and more emotional shifts in tone, and grand orchestrations all contribute to evoking the story’s mystical world. The combination of piano and cello casts a new light on these classic melodies: at times intimate, at times dramatic, but always enchanting.
