Kinga Illyés, the iconic actress of the 1970s and 1980s and a defining figure of the intellectual circles in Transylvania, was continuously wiretapped by the Romanian secret services for more than two decades under the code name Theodora. Her daughter, actress Orsolya Török-Illyés, based on documents requested from the Securitate archives, created together with film director Szabolcs Hajdu a radio play entitled Obiectiva Theodora: excerpts from the surveillance file of a Transylvanian actress.
At the invitation of pulzArt, Orsolya Török-Illyés is preparing a performative event that attempts, by focusing on an individual fate, to make this historical trauma more comprehensible and bearable. ⇢ We invite you to join a collaborative creation, where an invoked moment expands through Obiectiva Theodora, subjectively!
