Nach seiner Ausbildung am Kolleg für Markt- und Unternehmenskommunikation an der Werbeakademie Wien, war Alex Kristan zunächst für Marketing, PR und Vertrieb bei FIAT Austria verantwortlich. Ab Ende 1999 wurde er als Reporter zwei Jahre lang mit dem Formel 1-Zirkus quer um den Globus geschickt und berichtete für die österreichischen Privatradios vom Geschehen in der Königsklasse des Motorsports. Nach einem kurzen Zwischenstopp beim öffentlich-rechtlichen Radio startete Alex Kristan 2003 mit dem Sprung ins frische Wasser der Selbstständigkeit und versucht seither sein Glück als Unterhaltungskünstler, "welches mir bis zum heutigen Tag die Treue hält", erklärt Kristan.
