Andreas Gabalier

In 2009, the young law student from Graz joined the Austrian music scene for the first time. Until that time, he was making his living in a basement studio recording songs from CDs and selling them over the Internet. He had his first radio airplay and he was discovered mainly through word of mouth. 
The »Grand Prix of Folk Music« followed his discovery and the promotional machine was already running at full speed. In summer, his debut CD went gold. Something that usually only happens so fast in pop productions. He broke all laws of the music industry. He called his debut CD, "I come here," and it laid the foundation for his music career and it stated: I am authentic; I believe in the people, I do not need a stage name; they want me for who I am. They want my songs, because they are my songs and not songs that were written for me.
