El Negro este o formatie romaneasca de muzica reggae, infiintata in 1999.
"El Negro" si-a inceput viata in februarie 1999 in Ploiesti, cand Bogdan Negroiu si Stevie Bass au infiintat formatia. Stilul lor, dupa cum declara ei, este reggae cu influente funk si soul. Debutul s-a produs in cadrul emisiunii Europa 100% la postul de televiziune MCM France. Dupa un an componenta "El Negro" s-a marit la urmatoarea formula: Bogdan Negroiu - voce/chitara/muzicuta, Stevie Bass - voce/percutie, Burcea Alex - trompeta/acordeon, Octavian Mardari - "Saxy" - saxofon/clarinet, Traian Olinici - chitara, Florin Saia - chitara bass, Ciupitu Marius -"Ciupi" - tobe/percutie. Aceasta este si componenta actuala a trupei.
