Enrique Iglesias (born Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler on May 8, 1975, in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer, widely regarded as one of the most successful Latin artists of all time.
The son of legendary singer Julio Iglesias and Filipino journalist Isabel Preysler, Enrique began his music career in 1995 with his self-titled debut album Enrique Iglesias, which became a massive success across Europe and Latin America, selling over six million copies.
By 2000, Iglesias had released three more albums – Vivir (1997), Cosas del Amor (1998), and Enrique (1999) – earning over 11 platinum certifications and total sales exceeding 17 million worldwide.
Blending Latin pop with dance and R&B influences, Enrique conquered international charts with hits such as “Bailamos”, “Hero”, “Be with You”, “Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)”, “Bailando”, “Duele el Corazón”, and “Súbeme la Radio.”
His 2014 album Sex and Love marked a new artistic chapter, featuring collaborations with Pitbull, Sean Paul, and Descemer Bueno. The single Bailando became one of the most streamed and awarded Latin songs in history.
Throughout his career, Enrique Iglesias has received numerous accolades, including six Billboard Latin Music Awards, five American Music Awards, one Grammy, and dozens of international honors. With over 60 million records sold worldwide, he remains celebrated as the “King of Latin Pop.”
In 2018, Enrique collaborated with Romanian artist Andra on the remix of Nos Fuimos Lejos, further strengthening his connection with fans in Eastern Europe.
