FATHER is a modern five-piece alternative/metal band from Rijeka. It is considered to be the top heavy act in the region of ex-Yugoslavia.
Members are Davor Tomić Pinky (guitars, vocals), Franjo Jardas (bass, vocals), Dario Pažanin (guitars, vocals) and Marko Jurić (drums).
The band competed at the Lollapalooza festival in 2004 and finished 15th. Ater winning the qualifications for "Rock Otocec festival", they got a chance to perform with Apocalyptica, Stereo Mc's and Paul Di'Anno.
Their first official album “Inspirita“, came out in 2005. In 2007, the album was re-released and distributed in UK. The album was followed by 5 European tours. The band was a supporting act for Korn, Anthrax, Skunk Anansie, Max Cavalera, Sisters of Mercy and also had a mini-tour with Blaze Bayley.
"Metal Hammer", "Big Cheese", "Blabbermouth" and BBC Radio 6 are some of the media that covered Father's work.
Their second album "ONE EON" came out i 2010. Shortly after, the album was placed high on Croatian critic's choices for the best album of the year.
Both Father and the new album were highly rated and recommended by Bruce Dickinson.
