Biography - Horst Lichter

Mit 14 Jahren absolvierte Horst Lichter eine dreijährige Ausbildung zum Koch. Von 1989 bis 2010 betrieb er in Butzheim bei Rommerskirchen sein Restaurant "Oldiethek". 1999 folgten erste Auftritte im Fernsehen. Bundesweit bekannt wurde er durch Johannes B. Kerners wöchentliche Kochshow (jetzt "Lanz kocht") und vor allem "Lafer! Lichter! Lecker!". Sein Leben schilderte er zusammen mit Markus Lanz in dem Buch "Und plötzlich guckst du bis zum lieben Gott", das zum Bestseller wurde. Auch seine Kochbücher sind inzwischen Standardwerke in vielen deutschen Küchen.
