Für Andrew Hozier-Byrne, besser bekannt unter seinem Künstlernamen „Hozier“, war Musik schon immer von Bedeutung. Als Kind eines Bluesmusikers wurde er schon früh von seinem Vater beeinflusst und gründete mit 15 Jahren seine erste Band. 2013 veröffentlichte er dann als Solokünstler seine erste Single „Take Me to Church“. Die Single schoss in Irland auf Platz 2 der Singlecharts und bekam dadurch internationale Aufmerksamkeit. Nach und nach wurde „Take Met o Church“ zum Hit in Amerika und sämtlichen Ländern Europas. In Österreich erreichte die Single sogar Platz 1 der Charts. Im Herbst geht Hozier auf große Tournee durch die USA.
