IAMX ist das 2004 gegründete Soloprojekt des englischen Produzenten und Songwriters Chris Corner, der als Frontmann der Sneaker Pimps Bekanntheit erlangte. IAMX arbeitet dabei fast ausschließlich mit synthetischen Klängen. Bereits im Gründungsjahr erschien das Debüt-Album "Kiss + Swallow", das viele musikalische Einflüsse - allem voran Trip-Hop- und Electroclash - in sich vereinte. Im Mittelpunkt steht Chris Corners mal klagende, mal theatralische, aber immer aufregende Stimme, bestens geeignet für großartige Melodien. Im April 2006 erschien das zweite Album "The Alternative" mit den Single-Auskopplungen "Spit It Out" und "President". Auch die darauf folgenden Alben "Kingdom of Welcome Addiction" (2009), Dogmatic Infidel Comedown OK (2010), Volatile Times (2011) und The Unfield Field (2013) sind zu absoluten Meilensteinen geworden, die das Schlagwort "Electro Glam" prägten. Im Juni 2015 kündigte Chris Corner des neuen IAMX-Albums "Metanoia" an, das Ende 2015 erscheinen soll - die erste Single "Happiness" wurde bereits digital veröffentlicht.
