In early 2009, she performed with Flo Rida on his single "Right Round." Later, she signed a contract with RCA Records and released the single "TiK ToK," which became a major hit.
The song "TiK ToK" first reached number one in New Zealand, followed by Canada and Australia. It also entered the top 10 in most other countries.
On December 5, 2009, Kesha released her debut album, Animal. Some of the songs on the album were written by her. The singer has stated that her most creative ideas come after going out and partying wildly in clubs.
On February 23, 2010, in the music video for "Blah Blah Blah," Kesha declares that she is not interested in guys who talk too much. "Blah Blah Blah" was the second single from the album Animal.
