Meri Cetinić is a Croatian musician, composer, singer-songwriter and one of the most popular performers of popular music.
Together with Slobodan Kovačević, she started the group More where she performed right to the end of 1978 when she began her successful solo career. In 1980, she released her first solo album “Ja sam žena” which was a diamond record.
Meri Cetinić released a big number of golden, platinum and diamond albums. She collaborated with the best composers and songwriters of her time. Two times she was pronounced to be the best singer of Yugoslavia. As well as numerous awards and won festival prizes, she is the winner of the “Zlatna ptica” award for a million sold copies and she is a member of Hrvatsko društvo skladatelja.
The latest studio album “Tiramola” was recorded in Split in collaboration with the jazz band Black coffee, and it was released in 2006.
