In December 2024, he made his Romanian debut with the acclaimed Reis Demuth Wiltgen Trio, performing two sold-out concerts in Bucharest and Cluj – establishing the group as perhaps Luxembourg’s finest jazz export.
A year later, Michel Reis returns to Romania to present his universe of solo piano compositions – his most prolific and intimate domain, documented across five solo albums. His music lies at the crossroads of Scandinavian jazz lyricism and North American jazz poetics, resulting in a distinctive and personal style.
