National Museum of Romanian History – Admission Ticket
Discover Romania’s history in one of the country’s most important museums, housed in a historic monument building – the former Postal Palace, located on Calea Victoriei, in the heart of Bucharest’s Old Town.
Opened to the public in 1972, the National Museum of Romanian History now hosts an impressive collection of over 700,000 items, illustrating all major periods of the past, from ancient times to the modern era.
What you can visit
🔹 The Historical Treasury
Over 3,000 exceptional pieces made of precious metals and stones, belonging to the civilizations that existed on the territory of present-day Romania. Among the most famous exhibits are “The Hen with the Golden Chicks”, the Dacian gold bracelets, royal crowns, and numerous objects of great historical and symbolic value.
🔹 Lapidarium
A permanent exhibition featuring a full-scale replica of Trajan’s Column, along with epigraphic and architectural monuments from ancient and medieval times, presented in chronological order.
In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on a variety of themes.

The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday:
