Founded in 1981 at the legendary Teatro Bibiena in Mantua, the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova has quickly established itself as one of Europe’s most prestigious chamber ensembles. Renowned for its flawless technique, stylistic elegance, and subtle balance between tradition and modernity, the orchestra embodies the essence of Italian chamber music. At the heart of its four-decade artistic journey stands Carlo Fabiano – co-founder, artistic director, and concertmaster – whose vision has shaped the ensemble’s unique identity. Under his guidance, the orchestra was awarded the Franco Abbiati Prize, a recognition of its outstanding contribution to Italian musical culture. Throughout its history, the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova has collaborated with some of the greatest names in classical music: Gidon Kremer, Joshua Bell, Maria João Pires, Astor Piazzolla, Leonidas Kavakos, Mischa Maisky, Angela Hewitt, Shlomo Mintz, Sol Gabetta, among many others.
